My Yoga Journey

I began my practice in 2013, drawn to the intensity of heated flow.  I quickly witnessed the transformative power of yoga asana through a sense of physical release and an occasional glimpse of inner calm.  I returned to my mat daily, as asana became a treasured counterbalance to my time spent behind a desk and my mind’s constant chatter.

Going through a divorce fueled me to dive deeper into the practice.  I explored other styles and lineages, completed a 200-hour teacher training, and started teaching in 2016.  Always a student first, I completed my 300-hour training at Down Under School of Yoga in 2018.

When I teach, my goal is to facilitate a welcoming space for curiosity, exploration and self-inquiry through a simple, yet challenging, fun and philosophical vinyasa flow.  I view the yoga mat as a perfect playground to consider ideas, cultivate attributes and develop skills that will foster growth and well-being in a person’s life both on and off the mat.

I am incredibly grateful for my teachers including Natasha Rizopoulos, Elena Brower, Ally Bogard, Claire Este McDonald, Seane Corn, Sara Bailey, Sienna Creasy, George Peterson and many more who continue to inspire my practice and my teaching daily.
